Charles ‘Charlie’ Berry, born in 1994 in Saint Louis, carries a unique connection to music, being the grandson of the legendary Chuck Berry. However, Charlie’s path is his own, defined by a quieter, yet equally passionate pursuit of his musical identity. From an early age, he found solace and expression through his guitar, playing in local bands and gradually stepping into the vibrant St. Louis music scene.

On the verge of quitting, Charlie decided to start traveling to different open jams around the Midwest. In an effort to meet new players and understand where he stood as a guitarist. Things started to change as they went from open jams to sit-ins and finally booking their own shows.

In 2023, Charlie left St. Louis for Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for what would be a very impactful night. Playing the music of grandfathers while showcasing his own, Charlie has performed across the United States, in Bordeaux, France, and, soon, in Tokyo, Japan.
